Fall is in the air...

As the air turns cooler and days get longer, we are reflecting on the success of this year's summer reading program, Wild Reads @ Your Library. Things were really hopping here as we had over five hundred kids participating this summer! Some of the highlights were our cooking programs where kids made such delicious treats as ratatouille and marshmallow-filled banana boats, a rousing campfire singalong, and our annual ice cream party extravaganza.

We are having some terrific programs this fall. Join us as we learn about different countries in World Cultures and Fun with Folktales. Budding engineers can explore the creative side of building with blocks at our Lego club. Dreaming of becoming a writer? Or perhaps an actor? Come check out our Poetry Writing, Creative Writing, and Play Reading programs. Our popular monthly Science Tuesday resumed with a wonderful dinosaur and fossil program in September. Next month, we will have a visit from the New England Aquarium's Shark Cart. For more information on any of these programs -- or to sign up -- stop by or call the children's room at 617-796-1370.
